Pope at St Mary Major ahead of visit to Baltic Nations

As has become customary in his pontificate, Pope Francis went to the Roman Basilica of St Mary Major on Thursday afternoon  to pray for his upcoming trip to the Baltic Nations.

Once inside the Basilica he dwelt in prayer at the icon of the Salus Populi Romani.

On Saturday the Pope will travel to Lithuania, and will then visit Latvia and Estonia on this 25th his Apostolic Journey.
