Protection Minors: Cardinal Marx meets with survivors of abuse

Survivors of clerical sexual abuse continue to be at the centre of the meeting on the “Protection of Minors in the Church”.

Today, Friday 22^nd February, at lunchtime, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich and Freising and President of the German Bishops’ Conference, met, privately and in a confidential setting, with 16 survivors of abuse from the ECA (Ending Clerical Abuse) group.

The meeting – which took place at the initiative of the cardinal – lasted around 90 minutes.

Cardinal Marx informed the Holy Father of the contents of the meeting.
