Pope to take usual July slowdown of activities

As is customary, with the exception of his Apostolic Visit to Canada later in the month and Sunday Angeluses, Pope Francis will take his usual July break from most activities and General Audiences.

By Deborah Castellano Lubov

Pope Francis will take his usual July break from most of his activities, confirmed the Holy See Press Office in a statement on Friday.

As is customary, the Holy Father will suspend General Audiences this month to allow for a period of rest.

The Holy Father will suspend most activities and audiences but will continue to give his Sunday Angelus addresses to the faithful in St. Peter’s Square.

The big exception to the Holy Father’s restful July will be his Apostolic Trip later in the month, 24 – 30 July, to Canada, where he has a very full itinerary.
