Pope Francis to visit Loreto in March


The “ad interim” Director of the Holy See Press Office, Alessandro Gisotti, announces that the Holy Father will be visiting the Italian town of Loreto in the Marche region in March.

On March 25th, the Solemnity of the Annunciation, Pope Francis will visit the Italian town of Loreto. On that occasion, the Pope intends to offer, to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Post-Synodal Exhortation of last October’s Synod of Bishops. The theme of the 2018 Synod was “Young people, faith and vocational discernment”

During his one day visit, the Pope will meet with religious authorities and will celebrate Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Loreto. Finally the Pope will meet with the ill present at the Sanctuary, and later will greet the faithful before flying back to Rome in the afternoon.
