Vatican Promoter of Justice opens investigation into Emanuela Orlandi case

The Vatican Promoter of Justice has opened an investigation into the case of Emanuela Orlandi, a teenage daughter of a Vatican employee who went missing in 1983.

An investigation has been opened in the Vatican into the case of Emanuela Orlandi, the teenage daughter of a Vatican employee who vanished in Rome on 22 June 1983.

The Holy See Press Office Director, Matteo Bruni, reported on Monday that the Vatican Promoter of Justice, Alessandro Diddi, has confirmed this decision, partly in response to several requests made by Ms. Orlandi’s family.
